An Art Project About Cooking With Leftover
Art In Life
Team: Nowhere Kitchen Kuala Lumpur

At a dinner table, a person meticulously arranges glassware and utensils around a plate, creating a form that reflects their idiosyncrasies. The person seated next to them, driven by curiosity, engages in conversation, experiencing art in a different form. What unfolds next remains uncertain.

Is the pursuit of an artistic life confined solely to professional artists, or does it represent a quiet force that resides within each individual?

“Art In Life” delves into the transformative power of food, art, and space. It poses the question of whether values such as connection, meaning, and beauty can manifest in our lives. How might we endeavor to infuse them into our work and the mundane?

What is “the art” in your lives?

From Leftovers to Feast:
A dinner improvised from what participants brought from home.

About Nowhere Kitchen

Nowhere Kitchen is an improvisational, performative platform dedicated to creating exchange of ideas through dialogue and culinary art performance with leftovers. The aim is to create possibilities of exchange between communities through food and dialogue.

Participants from local community can sign up and/or invited guests to. The participants are asked to bring along leftover from their home. Together with the leftovers, the artists team will improvise a four-course dinner.

Nowhere Kitchen first initiated by Pepe Dayaw in Berlin.
